Itziar joined the team in 2019 as Partner. She focuses on late-stage and growth capital investments in the DACH region and across Europe. Her expertise covers B2B software, supply-chain and logistics, deeptech, and industry 4.0.

Itziar started her career at BMW where she worked with the operational teams in the Munich production plant, designing, implementing, and optimizing production lines. She then went on to work at The Boston Consulting Group in London and Munich, where she specialized in private equity and energy projects.

Before joining IRIS, Itziar spent 10 years as a venture capital investor at Next47 and Siemens Venture Capital. Her past investments and portfolio responsibilities include Black Duck, Thinkstep, Braincube, Polarion, Wurldtech, Encelium, and LogRhythm.

Itziar holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Navarra (Spain) and an MBA from the London Business School.
