Our team

Anaïs joined IRIS in 2023. As Venture Principal in the early-stage team, she’s in charge of identifying and investing in ambitious French start-ups, with a specific interest in developer and data tools, automation, industry, and proptech.

Carine joined IRIS in 1991 as Administrative Coordinator. She looks after our facilities and events and assists the team to set up and plan key meetings.

Curt Gunsenheimer joined IRIS in 2002 as Partner. He became Managing Partner in 2019 and is responsible for our late-stage and growth investments across Europe and beyond.

Emmanuelle Flahault-Franc joined IRIS in 2017. As the Director of Communications and Marketing, she defines and implements IRIS’s branding strategy and provides operational support to our portfolio companies’ media and public outreach efforts.

Erik joined the team in 1998 as Partner. He became Managing Partner in 2016 and is mainly in charge of late-stage and growth investments in France.

Florence joined IRIS in its very early days, back in 1989. She is our Administrative and Accounting Coordinator.

François joined IRIS’s early-stage team in 2021. As an Associate, he sources, analyzes, and carries out investments in the French market, focusing his attention on specific verticals such as fintech, entertainment & SaaS.

Frederique joined IRIS in 2007 as an Accountant. She is now our Chief Accountant and Finance Manager.

Grégoire joined IRIS in 2023. As Regulatory Compliance and Internal Control Officer, he is in charge of finalizing the deployment and monitoring of European and national financial regulations within IRIS and transitioning the standards of implementation once set in place.

Itziar joined the team in 2019 as Partner. She focuses on late-stage and growth capital investments in the DACH region and across Europe. Her expertise covers B2B software, supply-chain and logistics, deeptech, and industry 4.0.

Jan-Soeren Zinke joined IRIS in 2021 as an Associate on our early-stage team based in Berlin, with a special interest in SaaS, Climate Tech, HR Tech, and Industrial Tech.

Julien-David joined IRIS as Principal in 2013. He became Partner in 2016 and Managing Partner in 2019. He is mainly responsible for our early-stage investments in France and Germany, with a focused interest in AI, deep tech, and industry 4.0.

Marie joined IRIS in 2017. As our CFO and Compliance Officer, she is responsible for all issues pertaining to our company’s finances, accounting, financial compliance, and finance administration.

Morgane joined the Iris team in 2024 as an Investor Relations Manager

Nicolas joined IRIS in 2022. He covers late-stage and growth investments in Europe, leading the charge in growth investments in France. He has developed a strong expertise in enterprise software, analytics, fintech, insurtech, and digital platforms.

Sarah joined IRIS in 2024. As Marketing and Community Manager, her mission is to to amplify IRIS's presence and nurture our portfolio community.

Shana joined IRIS in 2021. As a Venture Associate on our early-stage team, she is tasked with sourcing the best investment opportunities, conducting due diligences, and helping startups accelerate.

Silvia joined the IRIS team in Berlin in 2022 as an Analyst working on late-stage and growth investments across Europe.

Thorben joined the IRIS team in 2018 as Principal and became Partner in 2021. He is based in Berlin, where he invests in early-stage companies within the DACH region, with a focus on software applications, marketplaces, and B2B networks.

Jane joined the team in 2005 to assist the Managing Partners with their day-to-day responsibilities. She is now working with the Communications and Events teams, which includes supporting key outreach activity.

Angus joined the team in 2012 as Venture Partner in Dubai (UAE), where he supports companies across the Middle East.
